Chicago’s Game

Chicago’s Game puts your whole softball season in one app. Whether you play in a weekly league or a weekend tournament, you can follow every game, team, and score in one place. It replaces the group texts, spreadsheets, and paper scorecards.

• Standings. Live standings that update as scores come in, with configurable tiebreakers.
• Schedules and results. Every game's field, time, and final score.
• Playoff brackets. Brackets for league playoffs and tournaments, by year.
• Live scorecards. Managers and captains keep score inning by inning from the field, and can attach a photo of the score sheet.
• Teams and history. Rosters, championships, and past champions.
• Chat and photos. League and tournament chat, with photo galleries for each season.
• Manager tools. Set up seasons, teams, timeslots, schedules, and brackets, and invite other managers with a link.
• Free agents. Players without a team can sign up to be picked up.

A React web app and an Expo / React Native iOS app share one backend: a Python FastAPI service on AWS Lambda behind API Gateway, with DynamoDB for storage, Cognito for sign-in, and SES for email. The infrastructure is written in Terraform and deploys through GitHub Actions.
